Based on the global standard for project management skills PMBOK, our workshops teach the basic knowledge and methodologies required for successful project leadership. At the same time, participants are exposed to the essentials of leadership and team-building that are critical to the real-life operation of any team endeavor. Through a computer simulation, participants can see the results of their improvement immediately. These seminars are not simply one-way lectures, but hands-on workshops in which participants can learn critical "soft" skills as well as theory.
Participants are broken up into teams of 3-4 individuals for the course of the seminar. Content lectures focus on deepening participants' understanding of core project management methodologies, followed by opportunities for team application exercises to test their new skills. Then teams are introduced to a realistic computer simulation in which they attempt to lead a virtual team through an assigned project case, allowing them to immediately apply what they have learned and experience the start-to-finish process of managing a successful project. 3Rock offers both 2- and 3-day courses of this kind, and can also fully customize learning development programs for customers in this area.
