Jeffrey B. Schnack

Jeff began his career with a boutique consulting firm in Japan, where he assisted clients such as Burger King, Universal Studios, LG, and Lotte with their Asia-Pacific development strategies. He then launched and led a new Tokyo subsidiary for a mid-size German manufacturer of specialty products for the construction industry. Immediately prior to 3Rock, Jeff served as President of NRE World Bento in California, the first overseas subsidiary of the East Japan Railways Group, where his team’s product launch won the Nikkei Shimbun’s #2 New Product of the Year award in 2001. Jeff currently consults for and/or serves on the boards of several companies.

Trilingual in Japanese, German, and English, Jeff received his honors MBA from the University of San Francisco. He also earned a Graduate Diploma in International Relations from the University of Vienna, which he attended on a Fulbright Scholarship, and a BA with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Amherst College.

Jeff is an accomplished public speaker, having presented lectures and seminars at major corporations, academic institutions (UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, Keio University, Tokyo University of Science, Shibaura Institute of Technology), and associations such as the Commonwealth Club of San Francisco and the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan. He is also the published author of numerous articles for trade and industry magazines.
